The digitalNow 2017 Innovation Edge Studio
What would you give to know the future of your association? What if you could see your most dangerous vulnerability in time to mitigate it? What if you could put a team of hungry entrepreneurs on a mission to come up with a business model for an organization that would disrupt your association so profoundly that it would no longer have relevance in our emerging society?
At the digitalNow 2017 Innovation Edge Studio, we are launching a radical session intended to do just that.
At digitalNow 2016, Marc Randolph, former CEO of Netflix, talked to us about the looming threat of disruption to associations. Now that we have that knowledge, how can we put it to use? What actions should it be inspiring in us? How can we understand what the impact will be to us, our business, revenue, and governance models, and the work we do in the world?
Those are provocative questions; the answers are essential.
Using the model of a real life association, at digitalNow 2017 we will discover the potential impact of today’s disruptive environment. A Disruption Team comprised of some of today’s brightest entrepreneurs will put their minds together, competing to build the model for an organization that is designed to put our put our model association
out of business.
It will be like seeing a disaster in time to avert it.
The groundwork for this session is being laid even as you read this. Over the next several months, a model association will provide data, demographics, and state-of-the-organization information to a team of entrepreneurs charged with the task of exposing its vulnerabilities and designing an organization that will exploit those vulnerabilities with the intention of stealing market share, alienating its constituencies, and taking its place in society.
In a world where associations are superpowers, this session is designed to uncover our kryptonite.
Don’t miss it.
